I heard about the contest waaay late, but managed to churn this guy out in a couple days.

I went with the theme of nature reclaiming the earth. Instead of post-apocalyptic over-growth or vast storm desolation, I just decided that mother nature would conjure up a horde of organic mutants-- comprised of the earth itself-- and wipe man off the face of the planet.

The Reclamation of Nature by ~sourgasm - The ideas of apocalypse are usually full of fire, volcanoes, and meteors. But ~sourgasm brought something quite different here, and yet, very awakening. His idea of nature will rise and have its revenge to human makes the viewer take some time to reflect what they have done to their environment. Good technique also, the absence of human there brings a good scale comparison to the amazing creature he made ( Suggested by ~the-arkz and Featured by `archanN )

Absolutely amazing! I like how beast draws your eye, but if you focus on the background, you can see all the others roaming the Earth. I very much prefer this to raining fire and such.

I dread the day this comes, if it is in my lifetime, because it will be the end of me, but I also rejoice. Nature was here before us; it even created us, whether on purpose or on accident, and has helped us along the way. There will come a time when it must reclaim its home, a time when our reign ends and theirs begin again.
